Can only see an Aussie win unless the weather intervenes.

I concur with these sentiments.

Seems very friendly for the ashes though.
Normally tearing each others throats out by now.

No but like you say mate, the Aussies need to be humble as they are still trying to repair their reputations. I’m sure it will come.

Should be a close series. Currently more excited about cricket than our coming season!

Chris Tavare the man for today, with Boycott and Atherton

Or even Jonathon Trott for a more modern version

I live 20 miles from Edgbaston and it's currently raining here (good thing) with very heavy cloud cover (bad thing)

And now 50 minutes later there isn't a cloud in the sky which should make for easier batting

Does it look like rain at all? I think it will be hard to bat out the whole day.

None of this play your natural game - test cricket is attritional - playing the wicket & conditions and not having a white ball swing. And I don't expect to see Moeen for a while.

A miracle required. And this is not going to happen.

Jonny Bairstow has yet again wasted a review and it's about time he was told he can't review any decision unless his batting partner agrees as he seems to be clueless

I was in B&Q in Merry Hill and was surprised to see Steve Smith in the wood working aisle this morning.
