Pretty abysmal from the fans in lords booing Smith after he came back out to bat after the blow to the neck. Really low behaviour and not cricket at all.

Agree, but he's good, Aussie batting without him is quite ordinary.

Wouldn’t mind Warner being English!

Agreed. Plus being the type of character he is it will probably only fuel him on.

He’s done his time, let’s move on.

Aussies talking about what is or isn't cricket - hilarious. I don't agree with booing at an injured player but have a think about Aussie behaviour. Reap what you sow is the standard saying.

Reap what you sow has nothing to do with it. Booing a player that has been hit on the neck and come back on with an injury is disgraceful behaviour.

Hope hes ok tbh.
He wasnt wearing the helmet with the neck guards on it.
I thought they had to wear them.

It’s down to the individual player and some find helmets uncomfortable and restrictive with the neck guards. They will probably be made compulsory and the players allowed to have them designed to their own specs.

According to Michael Vaughan unless you are wearing the full helmet with neck guard you may not be covered by insurance.

Hopefully there is no long term damage to Smith but I thought his heroics unwise.

The Aussies will still have a full 11 despite Smith retiring under the new concussion law, the sub can bat and bowl.

Aussies not sure how to deal with Archer. It’s like us facing Lillian Thomson at her firiest not to mention several line ups of Windies tearaways.

He is basically an old style West Indian fast bowler and along with perhaps one or two, they are the best bowlers I can remember. Garner, Holding, Marshall, Ambrose and a rake of others. Cricket has never been as good since.

It wasn't very good for David Gower's test average.
