I bet that you'll hate to find that you have something in common with me

Don't feel enthused at all about the season. People talk about how lucky we should feel being in the prem still etc and we don't know how good we've got it but as a season ticket holder, it's so boring. Our place in the home form table since promotion says it all- our best year was the first we were up. No progress has been made- i'd actually say our squad now is worse than it was 2 years ago. Here's the home form:

13/14- 11th- 8 wins, 18 goals
14/15- 16th- 6 wins, 21 goals
15/16- 18th- 6 wins, 19 goals
16/17- 18th- 6 wins, 24 goals
17/18- 13th, 7 wins, 29 goals
18/19- 18th, 5 wins, 19 goals

So really, we'll probably score 19-22 goals this season at home and win 5/6 games. Can't wait

So, at an average of £500 per ST, that's . . .

£78.95 per WIN at home
£23.08 per home Goal. . . . Gulp

That’s scary.

Just bash a scarfer, preferably a kid in a united/city half and half scarf and you'll feel reinvigorated.

I am enjoying the summer months without the stress of watching Palace. I would be quite happy for another couple of months to pass before the start of the season, but it is looming, and I have a sense of foreboding.I've renewed my season ticket and should be looking to the first game against Everton with anticipation and excitement but nothing is stirring yet.

Hopefully this feeling will turn out to be misplaced but the departure of AWB, the still likely departure of Wilf, lack of any significant incoming transfers to date, and the lacklustre pre-season performances, all leaves me feeling a bit flat.

I thought this thread was about one's sex life in late middle age, when sexual fantasies merge strangely with nostalgia, Palace are not looking like a Viagra substitute atm but who knows? a ginormous hard on may be yours on deadline day, keep the faith, lose the droop

Unfortunately this is par for the course if you want to be in the Premier League. Apart from the elite 6 and maybe West Ham Everton and Leicester supporters of most of the other teams will be thinking the same thing, not much to be excited about and hopefully scraping together enough points to stay up.

It depends on the transfer really. There's a chance we might be on the up.

I’m not so sure tbh. There’s a lot pinning on the next 3 days. If these signings, and in particular the RB and striker, aren’t good enough, then the despondency among Palace fans will enter the lower ground floor.

Yes, it's all looking a bit make or break already. This season will be memorable for one reason or another I'm sure of that.
