Usually I have some respect for your opinions Mattteo, but this one I cannot let stand.

Sorloth runs around? Since when, he’s fcukin’ lazy as.

You’re saying he could score 8 prem goals in the equivalent of 17 full games?! No chance.

What are you smoking tonight, brother?

I said 5-8. And 17 full games of 90 minutes is not something thatvstriker get. The young ones get 1500 minutes in 30 matches or so, close to an entire season. I meant he can score 5-8 in a season, 1500 minutes of gametime. Not different from what Charlie Austin could score in a season.

It's absolutely reasonable to think that of a guy who has just turned 23. You'll see in the future. You have to take into consideration age in these things and that he was very young until now. Also didn't really get time, if only has just adjusted to the PL and the teammates.

He runs for his staature and phisique I meant. Not easy having his height and run around. He runs more than Benteke, that's a fact. He's younger and damn right should, sure

Usain Bolt is 4cm taller, he manages to run around ok!

He has been terrible. His only obvious positive traits are his strength and height. He runs around like a slow old steam engine, but never seems to know where he is supposed to be going. Age means nothing if you don't improve, and if anything I'd say he actually looks worse than before he went out on loan. Maybe you see something in him that we're all missing mattteo, but if you do it must be pretty well hidden.

Agree with it all but especially in bold.

I'm saying this as someone who of course wants a young stiker to do well at the club and was really rooting for him when he came.

My problem is that whenever young, or even mature players - especially strikers, come to England, you usually get a glimpse of whether they've got the heart to have any effect or not. Sorloth looks as though he is very uncomfortable and quite frankly scared in the PL. When you are already in that mindset it's impossible to perform. I am also always very wary of the presumption that players will improve over time. Michael Owen peaked at 18!

I'm not going to 'hate' on him, I still am willing him to do well and it would be a glorious thing for us if he does this season, but there's very little evidence to base any optimism on as it stands.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I fully understand your maths, Mattteo, I just don’t agree with you. I’d be surprised/happy if he scored one league goal for us.

He’s 23, not so young anymore. He should be reaching his peak. Plus he cost £18m. £18 fecking million pounds!!!! What the hell were we thinking?

I have no confidence he can get anywhere near being good enough. Would happily be proved wrong.

If you’re happy to put your money where your mouth is, I’d have a £5 charity bet with you that he does not exceed 2 league goals for us this season. Fancy it?

Sure. But first he needs to get playing time. If he leaves on loan before the season starts, then I'm placing a losing bet.

Matteo,
I’m sure that many posters enjoy reading your long list of possible incomings
But your current opinion of sorloth devalues your recommendations.
He’s shown nothing, so even if it comes good , it’s a lucky punt.
