He spoke well. He's a fan with the clubs best interest at heart and is doing the best he can. Time to support him and the team.

Yes he spoke well in the interview but he's hardly likely to say the stadium development won't happen and we messed up with the transfers. As for the academy, I hope it happens but he showed off the virtual stadium and that was meant to start 2 years ago. The truth is obvious to see, we have a small squad. We have the oldest squad. We have little money, and investors who want out. We have potentially good young players but they are years off the first team. The few we have now don't get game time unless we're desperate, and then they get binned just as quick. The future might look bright but we're miles away from it.

Oh, and says we've got to be careful about signing young players in case it stops our own players coming through. Ha.

That's two in ten years.

If that really is the case why did we just sign that young Scottish winger and young giant central defender

I've now listened to it and was amused at his defence of Dougie Freedman when he said that one of his best qualities was in the players that we didn't buy as there is no point buying players that won't play or get on the bench.

Has he forgotten about Camarasa already or even Jach or Rakip

I wasn't aware we had actually bought them, so Parish was correct in stating, no point in buying players that wont play!

Articulate and informative interview. He covered all aspects that relate to the Club. Going forward. I for one am willingly to give him the benefit of doubt. I am convinced he has the best Interest of the club and knows what he is doing. If the club does get relegated, it’s just one of those things that happen in football and I don’t think you can blame him for that.

An interesting interview by someone who clearly remains a Palace fan.
Reading between the lines, there are still things to sort out if the Academy is to proceed despite the claim that even those with questions are supportive of the project. He hopes it will happen next year, but I sensed there may be unresolved issues that could delay it.
I'm inclined to support him for the time being and will be interested to see what develops over the summer should we retain our Prem league status, which (despite my 'moniker') I expect us to do.
it seems from his comments regarding manager negotiations that he expects Roy to be in situ for next season.

By no means certain - will leave it at that.

A Camarasa or another midfielder was needed and we signed him and he didn’t play. Meyer may as well not have been signed.

We extended Benteke lol.

Yes, the specific questions were created for the answers he wanted to give to appease the fans until the next window, rinse and repeat (unless more investment that does give a s*** about the football team comes in)

It wasn’t anything to get excited about and I’m not going to fall for some PR spin until I see something happen, and with Roy not using or wanting the players Freedman is apparently good at finding or not signing the bad ones I’m not entirely confident of the team we have overhauling the squad. Roy only likes Prem experienced players and the others can watch and lump it until 87 mins as far as he’s concerned. But apparently we don’t sign players we won’t or don’t play. Maybe Steve was doing alright up to then until that slip up but imo we have serious problems behind the scenes in managing the squad and scouting and signing players and if nothing good and better than we intended to do in January happens this summer then we’ll all be looking at this as another PR exercise.
