Makes zero difference where/when the points come. If we finish with more than at least 8 other teams we are a mid table team. Live with it glass half empty brigade!

It will make a difference if you hit a crisis of injuries or whatever it is or maybe the fixture list from hell, or a combination of sh1t after we’ve been a bottom 6 club all season, which we are every season. How often do we play like this mid table team because I don’t see much of it for most of the season. One home win every 6 weeks, 1 goal every fortnight, usually a penalty.

You could call it glass half full or kidding yourself. On our rare days we’re great. Mostly we’re frustrating with nothing happening.

I saw that and thought it really wouldn't be surprising if we actually did sign him again.

We've got 3 players whose salaries are over £119K per week.
Sakho sadly seems to be suffering with his knees now.
Benteke must be the biggest flop re salary comparison we have ever had. Couldn't even make the first team when he returned last season.
And our want away super star.
Benteke should definitely be sold.
Sakho we hope will recover.
Wilf we have to wait and see, but no one should question his salary other than himself now he wants to go.
We are not a £100k/week club and until we find a serious investor that is where we should cap all incoming salaries unless its Messi on a free.

My guess, and it is only a guess, is that a large part of the reason for lack of ambition in the transfer market is the uncertainty around the ownership.
I recall Parish saying when the Americans joined that he and the two Americans had to agree upon any significant expenditure and effectively all three had to sign the cheque.
It’s unclear what ‘significant’ means in this context but even signing e.g a £20 million player over a 5 year deal could cost £40 million when you factor in the wages.
If the American want out, and to make no further investment, it’s doubtful they would authorise such expenditure.
If this is the case the club is in limbo and may not even be able to fully reinvest the AWB money if it’s used to repay loans from the Americans as some have suggested.

Could all be true, but to be honest SP anticedence has never been that good on transfers, he and Dougie do not seem to know what they are doing and they leave everything to the last minute, then its panic buying at the wrong price, seems to me they are resigned to going back to the championship as I can't see the current squad even with Wilf will keep us up this time!

I could not agree more, Poor windows the past couple of seasons, IMO stem from total mismanagement of the finances from those at the top, Its so frustrating seeing virtually every other team enhance there squad, What have we done? Oh yes a Forest reject

Spot on with that, sadly the evidence is there, if you do not invest n your squad then you are doomed, just look at what went on at Sunderland, afraid we are heading that direction unless a miracle happens in the next couple of weeks, we must have the weakest first eleven in the PL!
