What many don’t seem to have grasped is that it will never be possible to convince Braunstoneagle that Hodgson is anything other than a great manager, and it is futile to have any contrary view even entertained let alone accepted.

From the bloke whose every post is to criticise Hodgson.

Yes. But to do that would mean winning games which means scoring goals, something we haven't been doing. Current form suggests we are looking down, not up, which is a concern. Where do you see the next win coming from?

knowing us...it will be on saturday against everton.

I’m not totally anti-Hodgson.
In the past when fixtures didn’t clash with Palace I occasionally watched Hodgson’s Fulham.
He did a fine job there and they were quite entertaining to watch.
I also think he did a very good job in his first year at Palace.
This season I don’t admire his work, certainly from an attacking standpoint.
With the same squad as Hodgson has here I doubt say Rodgers or even Wilder would set up each game so defensively.
We have a good squad, albeit unbalanced in some respects.
I’m not saying he’s a bad manager but I do cringe when I hear him acclaimed as our greatest manager merely through keeping us up.
Pulls , for example, had a far inferior squad to work with.
Coppell built a team from nothing and took us from the Championship to third in the equivalent of the Premier League and the Cup Final.
People can feel free to disagree but I’m just trying to introduce some balance.

What happens if you add the value of the squad they inherited, and took away the value of players they sold?

Did Roy sign Sakho to for £25m?

No. Sahko was on loan under Big Sam and signed before Hodgson arrived.

How do you make a thin squad of 30 year olds an attacking force ? The squad is not good it’s old and unbalanced.

To me, sending out Wickham on loan and not signing a (decent) right back was the big blunders of transfer circus in January.

An OG or a scramble or penalty.

I remember when Parish made the mistake of hiring FDB and talking about no more relying on the bounce of the ball in our favour.

Nobody including the journalist knows because Roy’s contract expires this summer.

Point would've been fair and that would've been a good result against Sheffield who are playing with lots of confidence, we are struggling simply because we fail to make the most of our opportunities in front of goal nothing more nothing less, our home losses so far have not been unexpected when considering the form of the sides we were competing against especially taking into consideration the lack of talent helping Ayew.

It should not be ignored the difference one simple goal can make to the atmosphere and memories of everyone watching, we are not anywhere near as bad as some fans on here are making out, we will play much better at Everton because we will be much better suited to do so.
