Had an email today from someone that knew one of my passwords, the one on here.
Saying that they wanted a payment in bitcoins as they had footage of me on my webcam banging one out on my laptop , and they would put it on the internet.
If they knew how chaotic my house was they’d know that a toilet lock, iPhone and earphones are needed, not sitting on the sofa on my laptop. Haven’t even got a webcam.
Weird that they had my password though, anyone else had one.

joking aside casual, my sister had the same thing.
knew several of her passwords.
same threat.
I would change your email password if I was you.
I had mine hacked several years ago & 3 of my punters were tapped up for 5k in bogus deposits between them
(one of em was in data security!!)

It wasn't from here even though this site was hacked a year or two back.

I received the same email twice with a password that I use here but I stopped using elsewhere a few years ago but the email address was my business email address that I don't use here.

I believe the culprit to be LinkedIn which was hacked a few years ago as that was the right combination of email address and password for me.

For anyone thinking that they are safe and secure have a look here and prepare to be shocked [Link]

I had one of these emails once and the password was my old palace player one from about 2010 which I’d already changed

I'm busy in techsupport with thousands of these emails appearing in peoples inbox. It's pure BS, just a question of them having a list of compromised logins from obsolete websites. They have NOT placed anything on your device and the whole "you're a perv" and "I have webcam images" is all just BS, they are just phishing.

If they have just change your password on any account that uses it.

I've had about 6 of these emails in the last couple of months on my work computer. I think I went on the Government Gateway site during my lunchbreak about a week before they started.

Its costing me a fortune w@nking at work
