He certainly is of interest to several clubs so may now bein a position to reach a decision?

On the negative KWP will not be a near guaranteed starter which he would have been if he had signed a week ago

£15m is too much I reckon. I would offer £10m for him and if that fails offer the same for Bogle. If it ends up being £12m or £13m then maybe ok. I understand that Ward is fit again but he isnt getting any younger and needs proper competition which Kelly isn't. If we buy someone then they have to be young enough to either be able to sell on or stay with us for 5 or 6 years.

It amazes me that we are in for this kid. He's just not very good. A couple of years ago Spurs had Rose and Davies for the left back position, Walker and Trippier for right back. Pochettino insisted on this as his full backs cover so much ground, and with European games on top of league and cup it was essential to have two first team quality full backs on both sides. They sold Walker to Man City, but didn't buy a replacement as they thought Walker-Peters would come through and be understudy to Trippier. KWP played a couple of games and looked OK. Then they didn't pick him again. They see him training every day, and they never pick him. He has played 12 premier league games. Ever. Same amount in cups and Europe. He's 22 going on 23, not a kid. This is during a period when Spurs really needed a good right back. Trippier lost form badly after the World Cup, but they didn't pick KWP. They bought Aurier while they still had Trippier, which is not what you do if you trust KWP. Aurier has played like a total clown at times. Stil KWP can't get in. They sold Trippier, not because KWP had developed sufficiently to take his place, but because Trippier was getting close to 30, and Levy works that way. When asked about the need to sign a replacement, Pochettino said that Juan Foyth, a centre back, could play at right back if needed. Not KWP, an actual right back. Foyth can't play right back by the way, he's awful there. Still they don't pick KWP. Finally, KWP has now been queue-jumped by Japhet Tanganga, who is two years his junior, and actually a centre back. Spurs plainly needed a new right back, and are happy to promote a youth player if he's good enough. KWP isn't.

When you change the aspirations of the club then surely you're expectation levels of players change? Would Joel Ward be ahead of KWP in the pecking order if both we're at Spurs... I doubt it. Plus with everything you've listed there - sounds more like an attitude problem than an ability problem. Everyone seems to be making a judgment on KWP based upon 12 prem games and the fact that Spurs haven't picked him much lately. Not suggesting he's the best right back in the world but I think a judgment either way, at this point in his career, is probably unfair.
