So how often is it likely that the best eleven will all be available to play,fitness,bookings possible sulky wingers not performing etc ,the answer is rarely ,we will probably get an eleven like yesterday most weeks.Trust me Sheffield Utd are relegation fodder we are worse.

This may prove to be a controversial view , but here goes... is Luka undroppable?
Yes he’s our captain, top scorer for the last two seasons and has just been awarded a 4 year deal.
However, in my view he has not played well for a while and I can’t see exactly what he does during the course of a game.
He’s one paced, gives away needless fouls in dangerous areas, is often sloppy in possession and seems to lack energy in the midfield area..
He has a strong character and does not lack effort (or penalty taking skills) but is that enough?

Pretty sure he is. In fact I remember one of his first interviews he was asked where he played and he said "defensive midfielder".

Am excited by the prospect of JM though.

I’m not sure that, as skipper, Luca is much of a motivator either.

His performance on Sunday was lamentable. He should have been subbed.

His success as a penalty-taker has masked his many deficiencies .

Offering him a contract for as long as four years was folly.

I want Benteke to score, but until he starts doing so I’d rather Wickham or Ayew as they at least put in some effort. If a striker can’t score then he needs to do much more to contribute to overall play than Benteke does.
