I thought that Everton were much better than us first half hour and Kelly earns MOM for his performance during that period. Macarthur, Ayew and Ward also decent.

Also they came closest to scoring three times so a point gained.

Meyer was wasteful in good positions although he was offside for his chance and VAR would have ruled it out if he had scored.

We grew into the game and the sending off worked against us when they put players behind the ball.
Ayew is a better footballer than Benteke.

Roy will make any side we put out hard to beat.

We didn't get thrashed so by that measure we did better than I thought we would.

A pointlessly negative backhand compliment yet one hard to disagree with.

A good point and a good display by our defensive.

But why on earth not go for a winner in the end?

Just saw Villa go 1 - 0 up at Spurs - after two Villa players chasing the ball centrally up front. Wouldn’t have happened with us, cause Roy would never allow such “risk” - but preferred 10 players defending. A pity.

Just saw Villa lose 3-1 also

I see Ayew had a good game... Will his reward for that to be dropped for Wilf?

Had a really good game today. Should’ve stayed on and taken off benteke imo and going forward I’d like to see that. We don’t cross the ball much and he doesn’t win it in the air anyway so rather have ayew up top. At least he runs and harasses players

Not one forward purchased during window other than the guy we had on loan who made such an impression we paid 2.5m. This fellow along with CB hardly got a goal each between them last season and who do we play up front today?!I really can't believe what this club is doing. Why leave it till just before the window closed to start bidding for a forward?
Supporters are paying good money to watch a bore score.
Today there were new players on the bench, for heavens sake play them, we know what the rest of this lot can do. Show some adventure, Palace.
Pleased I haven't renewed my season ticket. Entertainment value, nil!
A supporter for 60 years and feeling it!

I saw nothing in that performance to make me change my mind about our chances this season.

Everton's finishing was poor and we were lucky not to concede two or three goals. Up front our finishing was pathetic.

I had to go to a bloody wedding, but if anything considering the last few days I am relieved at least that we got something from the game. Possibly should've won but it all counts.
