When I was starting on my way in computer science way back when it was an arena that was free of any note worthy social liberalism or gender politics....indeed, any politics at all.

It was all about meritocracy.....which should be all it should ever be concerned about.

However over these last few years I've been noticing what I can only describe as a political infection......The left have taken over this topic like the have all university subjects and now it's not just about merit....it's also about what's between your legs and what people think of your empathy levels. Here's the latest video from NASA.

Also, the European Space Agency will soon be sending a Mars rover on it's way....a rover they have named, 'Rosalind Franklin'.

Now for those that don't know Rosalind Franklin was a chemist and X-ray researcher who back in the fifties....along with others....provided data that Watson and Crick used when devising their DNA model.

She wasn't a major figure central to DNA and indeed did more recognised work on viruses. She was a British woman on which we can be proud and a person who contributed to science and moving us forward. However her contribution has been significantly over expressed in the area of DNA to highlight women in STEM and science generally.....Indeed, she is on record as having expressed doubts as to Watson and Crick's DNA model.

The fact that it's her name on this Rover in front of Watson or Crick is nothing short of ludicrous and pure 'progressive' gender politics.

But one thing that I can most firmly put in her favour is that, by all accounts she wasn't a feminist.

I wonder what Newton would think of these people.....People who put politics into their science and virtue signal rather than nod to pure meritocracy.

It's the European Space Agency who are sending the rover....but not a lot.

Which are still not illegal.
Yet!
Xenophobia is a perfectly logical and natural 'thing' to have.
It's one of those that the people not expressing it would have to explain away why they think they are not.

Right wing yes, xenophobe? I suppose that as a modern lefty you would naturally think that of anyone who isn't a globalist.

However, nationalists have many links with fellow foreign nationalists. But let's not make this about us.....That's bleeding Dan and his Stirlingsays fixation.
