seems like its a case of the emperors new clothes to me.

before saturday we had taken 7 points from 4 games...and i dont think kouyate or schlupp deserve to lose their place.

wolves are going to use the sit in & condede possession against us, its going to be one of those horrible games with no space afforded in the final 3rd.

Last season at ‘Selhurst Park’ Wolves we’re very negative and didn't deserve their 1-0 victory, They conceded 5 at home to Chelsea in their last game so will be hell-bent on keeping a clean sheet. One expects more negativity from them and of course we don’t have the creativity to break down teams. Could be another 1-0 win for Wolves.

In terms of comparison of systems, Wolves were promoted using three at the back and two wing-backs and have continued in this vein, we of course play with a back four.

Yes they were a bit negative but totally disagree they didn't deserve there win. Thought they were a rock solid unit and the second half especially were far better than us...

They haven't won yet this season which means they're nailed on to beat us!!

I agree, but Hodgson is not one for change unless it’s forced on him through injury.
The only surprising innovation I can recall was in his first season when he paired Zaha and Townsend up front and this worked reasonably well.
However, this was forced upon him as no strikers were available.
We have seen a pattern with Hodgson about not trusting overseas signings from outside the Premier League ( think Meyer,Riedewald,,Sorloth) and I fear Camarasa may fall into this category despite his experience in the Premier League.
Hodgson is always more likely to play Mcarthur, Schlupp or Townsend.
Makes me think Hodgson has little input with regard to our signings.

Meyer, Riedewald and Sorloth have been toilet. Not a question of trust.

Surely you buy players to play, and encourage academy players by giving them game time. If the changes are rung - with ball and men moving forward when needed, goals will come. Agree Roy does need to move away from win or must not lose to I want to see you in action (there is a First Team Place for you to claim).

I'd play him through the middle in front of Luka and Kouyate/MacArthur. With Schlupp left and Wilf right.

Only thing that worries me was when Camarasa did finally get on he was stuck out on the left with Schlupp playing centrally. Which to me makes no sense but hopefully that's not a sign of where we plan to use him...although Meyer's majority of chances have also been on the left and that's not exactly been a success.

We shall see I guess.

100% agree he has got to start. RH needs to change up the tactics. He will certainly give a different shape to the midfield.

Why did we buy two more central midfielders?! That's 6 we've got now but no winger cover and only two fit strikers

He has said his best position is as the link between midfield and attack, so let's not mess about and just play him there. Luka, McArthur, McCarthy and Kouyate can then fight it out for the holding midfield roles. Schlupp or Townsend on the left, Zaha on the right. Ayew up top and Bentenke serving the puddings in the canteen.

Nearly correct thing benteke would be better off at Kettering than catering

I guess it's about trust. Does Roy trust him to play Roy's way while also bringing his attributes to bear? I guess not yet.

I personally have no serious recollection of the guy in a Cardiff shirt...but they had a --for them-- respectable season. And he was popular. So he may be worth a look, but then again they liked Mutch.

Lovely rhyming couplet, is that Shakespeare?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Luka has been dire this season so far, I'd drop him and play Kouyate McArthur and Camarasa. Also be tempted to play McArthy instead of Townsend, who hasn't been pulling up trees either.

I think he needs to be taken off free kicks and corners. His delivery is diabolical hence why we never score from set pieces. I think all our hopes lie with Camarassa coming good and getting a starting place as he is one of our only players who are comfortable with the ball at their feet.

I can not understand for the life of me how we have got so many football players who struggle to actually play football. Ball retention and simple passes has got to be a starting point to win any game.
