Red and blue review podcast suggest that a condition of his loan is that if he plays 15 games we then have to buy him!

Surely we cant be holding him back because of this clause??

I doubt we’ll see him start a game prior to Christmas barring an injury crisis.
Looking at how Roy operates Camarasa has Luka, Mcarthur, Kouyate, Schlupp, McCarthy, Townsend and Meyer ahead of him for a role in the team.
It’s a shame because I think he potentially offers something different to those other players.
Other posters have joked on here that Roy won’t select him until every inch of individuality has been coached out of him so he is ready to fit ‘the system.’
Unfortunately this joke seems to have an element of truth in it

Jeez - use him and if he is any good then buy him!
I don't disagree about having the individuality coached out of him either - many a true word and all that!
Luka looks half the player being told just to play deep and that has come from Roy!

Bet we do, probably league games that's why he may have played in the cup, we wont pay 14m for a bench warmer, sad though seemed to do well at Cardiff, maybe not Roy's style

Was watching on several occasions last season (Cardiff). Cool and calm with clearly a football-brain (quite opposite Schlupp) - no idea why he is not in our starting 11. Like Max Meyer who came on Saturday and provided Zaha with the clever pass that in the end led to 2-0.
At least give him a chance, Roy and not only 5 from 85th min.

Schlup's value has been discussed at length else where. I saw VC play 90 mins v Colchester, and he hardly set the world alight (and Max was even worse).
Roy is in charge and I trust his judgement. He sees these guys train day in day out. The football may not be pretty but it is very effective.

100% agree. Not only the Colchester game but also the first U23 game where he looked ok but not any better than what we have already. Probably right in that he is not showing it in training.

Very much doubt it. If he played 10-14 games and we didn't want him then we would just drop him. If we wanted to keep him, then it wouldn't matter if he played more. We will be paying his salary so if Roy wants to use him thats fine.

My Cardiff mate reckons this guy's the nuts was their best player last season and almost kept them up single handed.

So why is he deemed not good enough to even warm our bench?
