Would be amazing to win both the rugby and cricket world cups in the same year.

Love the ref bossing the NZ Ireland game. Clear concise instructions and no nonsense from the players.

NZ looking a bit too incredible for my liking, Tom - speaking as an England supporter.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

True. The 2007 RWC springs to mind.

The AllBlacks are constantly brilliant and also find a way of upping their game for the World Cup.

Spent some time over their a few years ago and was interesting to see the relationship the Kiwis have with rugby. It sort of forms part of their national identity.

Fair play go them. It’s either rugby or sheep.

Absolutely brilliant performance by England today, we can have a lot of confidence going into the semi-final.

Loads of positive out of the performance to consider, but I might be clutching at straws for hope to see how we could beat NZ.

NZ were gifted a start against Ireland. Sloppy play for the first 2 tries (the final pass for the second looked forward), a lucky break for the third and it was game over.

Ireland have been of a rapid decline this year, but their back held there own. England's pack are much stronger so I cant wait to see that battle. Thought Reid should have had a yellow in then first half, as always, loads of decisions went NZ's way. 22 point win, but the 17 were a gift.

It's going to be a great game next week.

The difference was 32 points; 46-14.

Game on for the semi final.
Personally i think the ref will play a massive part. Northern hemisphere ref or Jaco Piper from SA plays into Englands hands.
Aussie ref not so much. Before i get my head taken off i mean interpretation of the laws not bias.
You saw the kiwi TMO see nowt wrong with the oz try in the second half. Mr Garces pinged the forward pass straight away and overruled him.

I’m very hungover.

Still. Ireland were pants and have been all World Cup.
