I dont understand what some of you expect from this team. We are in an unbelievably difficult division with a threadbare squad yet are holding our own. Our overall points tally right now is about right but have a look at the table and see that we are level with the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd a point ahead of Everton who have spent 125 million in the summer.

Our main issue which we all knew it would be is scoring goals. There will be some big teams getting relegated this season so give up your moaning and realise that we are doing ok in our current situation.

It is not Roy’s fault that his number one aim is to stay in this division because if you asked more than 10 managers that will be there same objective. We are no where near ready enough to push for a European spot with this squad and our current finances so yes our best option is to just stay in the division and hopefully finish about 10.

Completely agree.

It's not pretty, but it's pretty effective.

Im not saying its doom and gloom or that well be relegated just that Roy wont change a thing Im sure and I fear for our abilities to break them down on saturday.

Like someone posted earlier GROUNDHOG DAY, just replay villa at home game very similar to the wolves one yesterday, By the way wolves beat us last season in the final minute.

COYP

? Seem to remember we battered them for the final 30 mins but couldn't find an equaliser from a host of chances. Ring any bells anyone ?

The tactics for Norwich will be exactly the same as previous games no matter what side is picked. Roy relies on his tried and trusted set up. Stifle the game first half, attack more in the 2nd half then bring on 2 subs after about 64 minutes . If we score at any time then defend and rely on breakaways but if we don’t score again then let one in in extra time.
So predictable!

If we carry on our current ratio of points to games played then we're on track to get 50 points.

We're above Norwich, we're also above Everton who have spent £380m in the last 3 windows and level on points with Man U who've spent £395m. We've spent £61m.

It's not the most exciting football, but it's hardly cause for all this bed wetting.

I'd be much more upset if I was Everton or Utd or Watford after an 8-0 spanking.

Norwich score goals but concede goals.
They have not kept a 'Clean sheet' and conceded 14 goals in their 6 PL games.
They have lost all their away games.
But at the end of the day, only 1 of our players has scored in our 3 home PL games.

not against this team!

Kouyate had in my opinion his best game in a Palace shirt against Wolves so he is a definite starter.

There will be no changes against Norwich unless we have injuries.

We all want to see Camarrasa play but I can see him not even being involved in the squad again Saturday but I think it make more sense to have him in the squad ahead of Meyer who offers nothing.

Schlupp seems to have made that position his own so it looks like Townsend is in for a long run on the bench.

There is a lot of talk on here about our tactics being negative and that we are ultra defensive but If you watch us play we are 4-5-1 without the ball and 4-3-3 with the ball. This is the reason we play with 3 midfielders who are a bit more defence minded. Our main problem is that when we attack we are not getting men in the box, I’ve lost count at how many times we have been in great positions but no one is busting a gut to get into the box.

Ward has had a solid start to the season so if he stays fit all season then we will be fine in that area.

We need a lot of upgrades in our team but as we all know we just need a striker who is going to be in the right positions. Unfortunately this is something we have not got so we will just need to carry on and hope we keep grinding out enough results to keep us in the division.

My tactic - score one more goal than Norwich - that ought to do it!
