Is there any chance of a bit of public clarity on this please? Only because it seems a rule horribly inconsistently applied and I would absolutely hate to see anyone fall foul of it through no fault of their own.

I asked him to stop having a dig at other posters which he found himself unable to do thus earning himself a yellow card.

How much more clarity do you need?

Actually, fair's fair, I missed the first instance therefore I'll have to withdraw my concerns on this occasion and apologise. (Consider the 'favourtism' comment as 'one behind the bar' for another time in that case!!)

Apologies.

Why have I been yellow carded? Calling someone transparent? What's happened to this place? Serious lack of a sense of humour it seems.

I think it needs a VAR check

This "cover for 3 ppsitions" is really overrated. I hardly ever saw players who are very good on multiple positions. One of them is James Milner.

Others just "are sent in" in those positions, doesn't mean they are any good.

Players shpuld be best at 1 ppsition- the one they play in. That's why there's a starter and a backup for every position. If somehow in a season, both of those are unavailable, then someone fills in.

Nathan has 12 matches as right back and some as left back. Not enough to be considered good in 3 positions.

Kelly is case and point about why having versatile players is useful. Obviously players have stronger positions, but at his age often players haven’t even settled in to their best position. Schlupp again has performed in 3 distinct roles for us in recent times and it’s made a big difference. I think roy’s system is particularly suited to having those versatile players in the squad because the focus is much more on the teams setup and execution of game plan rather than relying on the natural game of particular players.

Either way I think this is a good signing whether he plays exclusively in one position or not. .

I also think Kelly and Schlupp are overrated on 3 position. They're good on tgeir initial position, but I would never play with Kelly as right back (or left back!!) or with Schlupp as attacking winger (or central midfielder).

I'd prefer players on those positions who are actually good in them. I can't stress how much the team is lacking with Kelly as fullback (he's a decent center back yes, but not a fullback) or without a better scoring or creative winger than Schlupp in attack.

This story has resurfaced again. Supposedly we're going to (or have) bid £4 million [Link]

At that price seems a much better gamble than paying £10-15 million for KWP and I imagine his wages would be lower. I don't know as he would be first-team ready from the off though.
