I think that is a feeling many people have without wanting to admit it. Ex- public schoolboys, for instance, usually have a natural confidence which the rest of us lack to some degree. Doesn’t mean they necessarily know what they’re talking about but it sounds as if they do. The middle class also seem to be happy to talk loudly over each other in a conversation which makes it very difficult to break in with a comment. The working classes will tend to leave spaces for other people to interject. I have much experience with this. It's a very different rhythm to the conversation and it takes getting used to. They are also uneasy with piss taking which is usually central to any working class discussion. They can think you are being nasty or aggressive when you are just trying to break the ice for example. It's a cultural difference.
