It's virtue signalling of the highest order. They can't get the votes and are not prepared to put in the hard work to gather the political support. There are plenty of practical campaigns they could start to make their point e.g. highlight companies using too much plastic, start a tree planting campaign, start a walk to school campaign, pick up some litter (how much will they leave when they go?). They would rather have a party at our expense. It's not the cause I hate just these people according to the report tonight it's more like a festival only problem is that it still inconveniences the public, they could have held it in Hyde Park. How many of these people will go on abroad for holiday? My Yoga teacher is one of them and she is organising a retreat in Costa Rica not sure how she justifies that. Deffo a Bender........

Bring out the water cannons. That will get shot of these do gooder no goods off the streets. Use a bit of force they will soon be cleared.

This echoes the view I overheard last night when a gentleman somewhat advanced in years had steam coming out of ears apropos the disruption caused by these people he referred to,and their subsequent arrests, in a term I would NOT use on HOL.He really was boiling with enmity as hot as a deep-fat fryer and his audience were in total agreement with his sentiments. There have been nearly 300 people arrested in London.Erecting tents,blocking roads causing disruption etc etc - these people are a disgrace.

I suggest the next government should be from Extinction Rebellion, then we could tackle our defining problem. If anybody is to be got rid of, it must be those who have brought us to this impasse. Far from arresting them, they should be encouraged.

Over 1,000 arrests back in April.They refer to themselves as "non-violent civil disobedience activist movement".They are just agitators out to disrupt life in the cities by their dastardly behaviour.
