I watched the last 10 minutes of the Sky program dealing with the draft for the tournament and they certainly tried their hardest to "big up" the tournament although I'm not convinced. Northern Hovis did pick three Durham players in the end but I can't see two of them actually playing. If there's nothing better to watch on TV I might take in a match but I won't pay money to go and watch a game as I don't enjoy cricket enough unless I have an interest on one of the teams and if others feel like I do the whole thing will end up a white elephant. Spectators only have a finite amount of money to spend on watching cricket and if it's a choice between watching their own team in the T20 Blast or a made up franchise I'm sure that the former will win.

I watched the last 10 minutes of the Sky program dealing with the draft for the tournament and they certainly tried their hardest to "big up" the tournament although I'm not convinced.

Northern Hovis did pick three Durham players in the end but I can't see two of them actually playing. I won't be watching. Really not into slogging unless it's a world cup. I already think 20/20 is just a drink fest and pretty much ruins cricket. No wonder test players cannot put an innings together on a consistent basis.

Those were the days. I used to bat left handed in beer matches.

Sussex and Surrey had 11 and 9 respectively of their players picked yet Essex who won the T20 Blast had just 4 picked
