Most exciting signing since Cabaye turned up to his medical like a Calvin Klein model. This transfer has been two years in the making, so I have a really good feeling about it, especially if it's true that we have a clear plan about he will fit in. If we can either keep Wilf or replace him and bring in a new striker then the whole atmosphere around the club is going to change.

As for Wilf I think he needs to go and we all need to move on - He has been fantastic (truly legendary servant for the club) but we’ve all known for a while he genuinely is good enough for a top club. I’d love him to fulfil his potential - sadly he won’t do that at Palace. It’s become too much about him in recent months (not the team) and I think he deserves to get his move. Today’s signing will soften the blow though - for sure! Fingers crossed Wilf goes to PSG and they pay a fortune for him!
