Wilf would have definitely passed the halfway with the ball first but this is irrelevant. The distance between the offence and the goal is one of the factors taken into consideration.It was a yellow card offence for me.

Refereeing in Football is rubbish.

Within the 'Laws' of the game it IS only a caution(yellow), it falls under the heading of 'Professional Foul' As I have highlighted in red. Used to be called 'Ungentlemanly Conduct' Wilf was in his own half, there was no indication he would have been denied a 'clear goalscoring opportunity'. Guendouzi could've tripped/pulled Wilfs shirt or even blocked his run, it still would've ended up in a caution. COYP Edited by eagleman13 (29 Oct 2019 8.19am) Cant argue with that, but as a paying fan, the rules need looking at otherwise we may as well go to Twickenham to watch rugby. This kind of obvious violation to deny the fans the excitement of Zaha running half the pitch towards goal should be outlawed and given the heaviest penalty, a red card and automatic 3 game ban. That should stop it happening and give us back our moneys worth.
