Sounds pretty sensible to me.

Surely football should try to be as non political as possible. Anyone turning up to matches to shout racial abuse is not doing themselves or the club any good and I think most, if not nearly all of us, can agree on that.

Yes that's it. I think being both a team member or a supporter involves certain basic responsibilities to each other to remain a cohesive unit. Beyond that though it shouldn't be about policing political beliefs, because they vary greatly between people and are neither here nor there in the context of the sport.

Yep, when we pass through those turnstiles or new fangled set ups we are all CP supporters and until we pass back through them again anything else is tiresome and unwelcome.

Football clubs and matches are for everybody....not just for people you like or agree with.

There is no requirement for a consensus upon opinions on race, religion or immigration or indeed anything political.

I don't regard the attendance at football matches to really involve anything other than football related themes.

If others do that on whatever side of a political position, it's for them. I regard it rather poorly. I would rather politics and sport existed in their own forums.

What I do object to is forced obedience to very one eyed and politically shaped language. I view it as just as political and malign.

Palace is indeed for everybody when they leave their views at the gate and do not associate their views with the club.

I am not sure that you envisaged a group of fans in the name of CPFC, coalessing around a far right group (DFLA) in secret. I take it you agree with that statement?

Hasn’t all this been agreed? Or are you on some Tom Joad “I’ll be there” kick?

No. It appears to be a lot mealy mouthed acceptance that we have racists in the ranks and that's ok because we are a broad church. When it comes to right wing activists in the ranks? No.

Fine by me. Can we also ban vegans? I don’t agree with them.

I'm quite sure I don't see the DFLA in the same light as you do.

However regardless, I certainly do agree that a football ground is not the place for politics and should indeed be a bit of escapism for all of us.

correct. Remove ALL politics and religion from football.

including :

national anthems
remembrance poppies
players praying before playing
speeches or logo's about racism, LGBT, whatever.
military uniforms

i dont think you get all that stuff at the cinema, and it is an entertainment for spectators.

the 'Net-We-had' at the Etihad....again

Are you equating the far right with vegans?

So how do you equate DFLA then?

No but I don’t agree with them. Isn’t that the point?

National anthems for internationals makes sense.

I'd turn up with a pinned poppy in early November but then again I'd also do that at a cinema.....if a player wants to pray before a match that's for them.

But I agree, it's a football match and we need to stick to that.
