i was in favour of VAR coming in, because it is essentially a leveller for a club like palace when it comes to big club bias.

i have never got wound up about dubious decisions as i believe they even themselves out over the space of a season, but this means ut defo evens out over the space of the season.

what i am suprised at is VAR didnt look at the rugby tackle on wilf at the weekend as that was a potential red card offence.

Whilst I think red would be my choice as well I believe it wasnt 'violent' and was in his own half.
If hed have chopped him I think it would be a red.
No guarantee wilf scores either so just seeing the rage of gunners compensates for a single point and a great comeback TBH.

I think there needs to be some adjustments even with VAR... Some of the offsides given in games this season have been, in my opinion ridiculous.. in some cases you’re talking the toe of a boot offside... Is that really offside??
Think there needs to be a rule about a certain distance or maybe a certain amount of body part offside.. in my opinion the toe of a boot is ridiculous..

I couldn’t understand Brighton’s penalty against Everton at the weekend either (not just saying this because it’s Brighton!)
Keane never took his eyes off the ball and didn’t even look at Conneley... There has to be some intent to foul for a penalty surely... What happened was a complete accident for me.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Agreed on both counts. I envisage future kits being made out of lycra to avoid flapping shorts putting the attacker in an offside position. If they're going to use VAR for offside decisions, or in fact any decision, then the rules need to be rewritten. You can't use a new judging system without writing new rules for it.

As for the Brighton penalty. Haha! If we're going to consider stepping on the toes of other players a foul then we should indeed rewrite the whole game, akin to something like touch rugby.

i think, regardless of the type of tackle it was...it was stopping a goalscoring opportunity...no player would have caught wilf up and he was effectively through on goal, red didn't even give us the attack and blew as soon as the free kick was played. but he would have allowed that passage of play to continue given the circumstances.

i will also take the point given it boiled the piss of gooners so much!!!
