If we do get another hung parliament, with Remainers again sabotaging the democratic referendum vote, we are in for very hard times indeed with business confidence completely shot and the public disillusioned with MPs and Parliament in general.

I can imagine 'the silent majority' so exasperated that violence will erupt and anarchy stalking our streets.

I am a Tory but would rather have Corbyn in charge than
another 3 years of chaos. Although I suspect were our bearded friend be in power the country would be on it's knees within 12 months.

For all his many faults true democrats must pray Johnson gains a working majority, Brexit is out of the way and we can concentrate on the pressing needs of the NHS, social care and continuing high employment.

for those who want the tories out, it's worth checking this tactical voting website which compares the various sites making recommendations on how to vote to this end:

[Link]

the recommendations are aligned for 94% of seats, but if they are conflicting for your area, then i reckon best bet is to vote for the party you would normally anyway

(i personally am voting for a party i dislike quite a lot, in order to get the tories out - that's the unfortunate reality of our voting system)

I suspect that if you are voting in the Chichester constituency you might well be disappointed as in all probability the Conservatives will win the seat by a comfortable majority.

Each to his own I suppose but I am not a fan of tactical voting as it tends to be negative e.g. stop Boris / Corbyn.

I prefer to be positive and vote for what I want and believe in even if I don't get it.

With the significant increases in funding for the NHS,schools, public services etc etc etc announced by the Conservatives the bygone days of 'Cuts' are over. This is a new era.

Hogwash. We're far worse off now than we were then.
The financial-system has once again taken us to the brink, only far bigger than 2008 could ever have imagined.
Austerity, ie the poor paying for the deliberate financial shenanigans of the rich, was/is nothing short of a bloody outrage.
And surprise surprise, they've gone and done it again. The banks are illiquid and the pressure is building everyday.

Will you once again enjoy paying for the deliberate actions of others Willo?

But the reason the NHS is costing more is the aging population

In general immigrants are low users of the NHS due to their demographics.

The single largest group of patients are 65 to 69 year olds, a group growing very rapidly (over 35% in the past 10 years). Probably the majority of this site.

Population growth can’t be the cause. It has been running at 8% but hospital admissions increasing at 30%

But please don’t let me confuse you with actual, factual data. Carry on in your angry bubbles of false news.

To be fair maple...its the lack of funding in Social care that's the real reason. The lack of funding in NHS pales into insignificance compared to the way that Adult Social care in Local Authorities has been treated and viewed by multiple governments.

If you invest in Social care, it'll start to prevent unnecessary waiting times at A&E, free up beds in Wards and relieve the demand on the Hospitals.

THATS where the money needs to be spent...NOT the NHS

With respect hogwash on stilts apropos the state of the economy now and when Labour left office in 2010.Labour always leave the economy in a worst state that when they came to office.

Austerity was the result of the dire state of the economy the Government inherited.Very difficult decisions had to be made out of necessity.

We are on opposite sides of the house on this matter.
I say with the greatest of respect that we will have to agree to disagree.
Must now go out to continue the work for my party.

Why would you want to tactically vote out a party rather than vote for who you want? It bemuses me..

Might I kindly suggest a different strategy, nothing of note happens until about 4/5am in the morning. I go to bed normal time and wake up early by then they are predicting the result so I go back to sleep or sleeplessness depending on who won.

Yeah, but the process is part of the fun.

It's more entertaining than the Superbowl.

LOL. Usually, I would do the same but not sure I can cope with this one.

Absolutely done in with democracy at the moment. My faith in the voting process has been absolutely shaken to its very core. And if it looks like anything other than a Tory majority then thought of having to watch the BBC trotting out w***er after w***er salivating at the thought of chucking my vote on June 23rd 2016 into the bin then I reckon I will burst a blood vessel.

But if I wake up in the morning and it is clear that Brexit is going to be sabotaged, then it will be crystal cold water running through my veins. Need the step back from the process because tomorrow could be the last time I ever vote, at least in this current system.

I totally agree with your sentiment.

I am hoping for an outcome where democracy can at least keep a shred of credibility and that will have to include some sort of Brexit.

I have attempted to avoid TV politics for a few days but I usually end up catching some of it.

I just hope the endless left bias on all the TV channels has not whittled down the Tory lead to the point where we are back at square one.
