Spending on the NHS continues to rise in real terms year on year but the population grows by about 500,000 each year so spending will never keep up with it. Comparing the population growth rate in the UK to 3rd world countries or countries that have a much lower population density is ridiculous. How much do you think it costs to pay for healthcare for half a million extra people every year? This is all in the context of a shrinking native population so *all* of this growth relates directly to immigration. It's clear (for those that use their eyes) that most of these people cannot pay their share of taxes so the cost is met with borrowing and reducing the service to people that have actually paid into the system. Obvioulsy this is also true of all other "free" services. We also justify more of this because we need mopre doctors and nurses.

Yet we keep idiots in labour telling us we are one of the wealthiest countries in the world and still give away billions in foreign aid to countries that either don't need it or have corrupt regimes.

Look at the state of it:

Sweden is finding that out right now.

Useful post. Cheers

Scandinavian countries have a far better approach - and as a result quality of life than we do. Having only lived and worked in Copenhagen and Stockholm it’s hard to speak for the entire region like you do (In your infinite wisdom, experienced from behind a screen in the countryside) but I was there long enough to get a good grasp of the social, economic and day-to-day pulse and to effectively dismiss the region as incomparable is complete dross. Be better

So it's OK to say that to a White person.

I'll call Donald Trump and let him know.

I just voted. No 1000! No prize

1400 voters in my ward. 250 are postal votes. Huge turnout.

Lib Dem/Tory swing seat in S. Somerset.

He said with regard to the 'I'm no longer proud to be British. We are a joke and a disgrace' rant I believe.

It was the kind of comment that warranted a dismissive response. There's something to be said for cheering up!

Cheers. Yes I'm hearing that there are very large turnouts across the board.

CEO of Ipsos Mori has hinted that the exit polls will be VERY interesting. Make of that what you will.

I would take that it mean either a larger Tory majority than expected or markedly more tactical voting between Labour and Lib Dems on the day.

Odds just prior to exit poll

Tory Maj 1/3

No Maj 14/5

Logically I'd expect these to change quite markedly in five minutes once the exit poll data is in

Big win

Lib Dems and Labour may have wished they'd have formed a pact now. Anyway byebye Jezza

Current odds now

Toy Maj 1-30

No Maj 28-1

Rather impressive that the exit poll data didn't leak really
