Rumours circulating today that Freedman has put his hat into the ring for the Hearts job: [Link]

As the article states, it would be really bad timing if he does go given the January sales are coming up. Long term it's hard to know if it would be good for the club or not given we have little knowledge of his input or how much of a budget he is given to work on.

Any players that Freedman has identified as potential signings would be already on the clubs radar.

If he leaves before January, I don't see it making a huge amount of difference.

And maybe once he has gone we will be able to get an idea of whether or not he was doing a good job. At the moment the overall perception ( mine as well ) is that he isn't.

Seeing as Roy doesn't play most of Dougie's purchases I would say that its no loss if he leaves

It depends if Ayew, Cahill, Kouyate and Guaita are Dougie purchases. Given they've been four of our better performers this season perhaps Dougie hasn't done such a bad job on a shoe string budget.

If the media are to be believed Cahill and McCarthy were both on Roy's wish list but who knows about the other three

Never should've been allowed back. Hope that's him done with us now- shame as he was my favourite player growing up
