Esports. The only thing sport related is the game being played on the screen. Sad. Very sad if that is the future. Just a bigger version of kids watching someone get a top score on Asteroids in Shirts Galore, west Croydon back in the late 70s/early 80s. Pinball wizzard anyone.?

Football is massively dominant across the whole planet at present. Will that strength increase or decrease ? Places like Japan, China, India etc are not noted for being as football-crazy as Latin America.

I think you will find that rugby has always been a much more popular sport in France. However, one thing seemingly most people forget is that it is Rugby Football. Derivatives of the same game.
Apparently, the modern game comes from Scotland - who were the first to largely kick along the ground with their feet. How their football has gone - that beggars belief.

They have huge admiration for the heroism of the game. Rugby is not significantly more popular than football in France and never has been. But it's a lot closer than here, and there are pockets where it's the No. 1 game.

They have huge admiration for the heroism of the game.

It's probably fair to also say that they're less into spectator sport than us, but also love their cycling
