Likewise I had one of the original boat tailed Alfa Spiders (1966 vintage) 30 years ago but had to sell it to help fund a house purchase. At least I had the satisfaction of selling it for double what I paid for it

Wifey used to have one of them. Every time we returned from a holiday it wouldn't start. It was if it were sulking

Must confess to never being a big car fan... Always pretty much viewed them as just getting me from A to B...

I was advised about investing in classic cars when I got paid out from my accident by several people... I did buy a couple which I keep locked up... Does certainly seem to be money in classic cars...

I did own a Ford Puma years back which I loved... Proper pocket rocket... Hardly classic I know but I loved it... Spoke to a mate who works for Ford a couple of months back and apparently Ford are going to bring them back out again.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

If you're going to dream you may as well dream high

IIRC Nick Mason has a Ferrari GTO which is probably worth about £40-£50m nowadays

I thought that was the whole point of the thread.
Dream, in this instance, i take to mean "beyond your reach". Ever. Barring a feckin big lottery win.
