Xenophobia is not racism.
Atm you are seeing that.
Protect what you see as your own.
It's a natural thing inside.
Many are afraid to voice it as its construed as racism.

Probably. But we have a unique situation in which the very people who proclaim themselves as the most anti-racist are the ones deliberately seeking to divide the population along racial lines. Beginning to suspect that it might actually be a wider Anglo-Saxon issue (Europe has its own specific problems that share some attributes but has different approaches, for example, the French state policy of assimilation) with similar issues in the US, Canada and to a lesser extent Australia (primarily down to their isolation).

The whole point of 'multi-culturalism' is to promote a society in which shared values and principles are diluted along lines of race and religion. Identity politics is racist by its very nature.

The knife crime issue is perhaps the most obvious one. The primary reason why the Glasgow model is not being implemented in London is because it employs both profiling and an aggressive stop and search policy. You identify the kids most at risk of being both victim and perpetrator and target those kids. In Glasgow, those kids are white so nobody in politics gives a s***, or will stick their oar in because there is nothing to be gained or lost, hence social services and police allowed to get on with their job. In London, those kids are in the overwhelming main non-white hence why everybody sticks their nose in.

Kids are dying on London streets because the authorities are discriminating against them on the basis of their skin colour. If they were white then effective action (Glasgow virtually wiped out its teenage knife crime problem and it was huge) would be taken but because they are not, they are either dying or having their lives effectively institutionalised by life-term sentences before they leave their teens.

Real, classical racism in action. In 2019. In London. Murderous discrimination based solely on skin pigmentation. Melanin as the basis for political policy.

Chalk and cheese . Glasgow population of 600,000 and shrinking.
London 8 million and growing. Very different places to police.

Why? The kids most at risk are those without responsible adult supervision at home. Those without somebody to ask them where are they going? Who are they going out with? What are they carrying in their pockets? Schools can identify these kids.

Of course, there are differences (I believe Glasgow had a specific alcohol-related issue) but ultimately the social-economic backgrounds of the kids in Glasgow and London are essentially the same.

I know a Labour councillor involved in trying to stem the problem in London. And she has been hitting a brick wall although with some success but accused of all sorts along the way.

Melanin is not the causality of why a kid is more likely to carry a knife and be at risk of being stabbed with one. The factors increasing the likelihood of either is nothing to do with skin colour. But the differences in approach is driven by skin colour.

That is racist. As simple as that. Why are black kids being treated differently to white ones?

Why? The numbers speak for themselves. How can they not be different to police.
Different countries too with different problems , as you stated.
I agree Glasgows policy should be given a go and rigorously enforced , but they are 2 very different cities.

But are the experiences of most at risk kids in Glasgow and London that different?

I would be willing to bet they share far more in common than what seperates them.

Poor educational records/expectations (expulsion is probably the most common shared experience).

Living in social housing.

Weak family support structures allied with attendant gang culture.

These kids, on the whole, do not venture much outside of specific post-codes. Can you honestly say that West Croydon differs much from the poorer parts of Glasgow? Or that a housing estate in Brixton differs that much from its equivalent in Scotland?

London might be the globalised wonder-land in which the worlds wealthiest come to work, live and dine but that has very little impact on the lives of the kids most impacted by knife crime outside of perhaps making crime a little more rewarding.

It's never been as reductionist as 'Melanin'. I can jump on a sunbed and increase the Melanin levels and change my skin colour......The whole discussion area requires nuance and good faith.

Those who think that this problem is purely cultural or economic or a combination aren't really interested in the reality....The statistics are there to refute the dogma.

But statistics aren't 'nice' or give the answers 'nice' people prefer. So we get the continued 'blank slate' myth and so the narrative continues onto the next generation. where the pattern repeats......In various ways there's been hundreds of years of heads banging into brick walls on this topic.....and because Europeans are Europeans that will just continue.

Genetics influences behaviour. Humans are animals and our behaviour comes from our genetics and can only be partly influenced by environment.

It's as plain as the individual born from a family with alcoholism or suicidal tendencies having higher risks of both....independent of their upbringing. Humans have known this for thousands of years and genetics has been the principal way of controlling behaviour since we started breeding dogs from wolves.

One day the culture will be more interested in truth than presentation.

Black kids are in more gangs.
Gangs stab each other.
Black gangs are afraid to report other black gangs once the police are involved.
It could be sorted but they are bottlers in reality.
If the police offer help then why not take it.
