What do you make of Jack Merritt's dad's message? "Jack was an intelligent, thoughtful and empathetic person. "We know Jack would not want this terrible, isolated incident to be used as a pretext by the government for introducing even more draconian sentences on prisoners, or for detaining people in prison for longer than necessary,"

I do think he is wrong but you have to respect the man if that was my child I would go looking for someone so credit to him for upholding his sons views. I blame both Tories and Labour for their policies on law and order, human rights and immigration and deportation. They made this problem they need to sort it. Fat chance.
