If people keep making claims I disagree with then no-one ought be surprised when I keep on stating the alternative views. Other groups "get it" first time. What also happens here in some cases is a blank wall response. A failing of comprehension rather than any alternative opinions to debate with

I am not for a moment suggesting that the views of the people posting here are totally disconnected from those who achieved a majority last Thursday.

Of course they aren't but that majority is very far from being a homogeneous group. It contains previous Labour voters who felt obliged to abandon their roots and those who would have voted for Farage if he hadn't stood down their candidates.

Now which of those two groups do you think the majority of posters on this site most closely resemble?

The point being answered had nothing to do with my opinions about that group. It was responding to a rather snide comparison and nothing else.

Diverting a discussion as a method of avoiding the issue is a favourite tactic here and it is again being used. Nothing was said about Brexit or anything else.

2.I didn't accuse you of "Vaunting superiority" I claimed with some justification that your comments are delivered in a TONE of "Vaunting superiority" and was not intended as an insult casting aspersions as to your honesty,integrity, cerebral capacity or physical features etc etc.

Of course I can take an alternative viewpoint to the opposition (I am sure you understand what this means) and be strident in my repudiation of the messages imparted, indeed as you are fully aware forums such as these are a vehicle for debate and discussion with differing opinions order of the day.I am fully confident in my opinions as I suspect you are of yours and of course we will defend our positions with vim and vigour.

In politics, Oppositions attack Goverments, the Governments attacks the oppositions so why Trump has been highlighted in this manner is somewhat befuddling.

I really think that the debate is veering of the rails and perhaps should return to the subject matter - so "Who is to blame?" !!!!

Actually 52% is a MAJORITY in everyone elses world!

I was referring to the recent GE and not the referendum. More people voted against the Tories than for them. It's only first past the post which enables such a majority in Parliament from a minority of the electorate.
