Hodgson had obviously settled for the 0-0, and then they scored

Clearly, but he should have seen 3 points were there for the taking with meyer coming on.
That is the frustration.
Ok so if meyer came on and we lost it then cynically it gets roy a get of jail (I told you so)free card.
But to not spot the reward that was on offer was very poor from him.

Another game where a lack of clinical edge was our downfall. And this will continue if we fail to strengthen in January and whoever we bring in is more of the same.

Could be a very challenging second half of the season with us supporters worried about our prospects.

Could not agree more we played more than well enough to deserve a point.

Played well enough against the worst team in the league, Newcastle.

Yes, even worse than Norwich and Watford, though they made more points. Everyone dominates Newcastle. They are just lucky sometimes to score on counter attacks. Really poor team overall though.

The Roy haters make me laugh. How about an old spoon full of Pardew, or how about this DeBoer? Doesn't taste very good, does it?!

He said: "There was no need to bring Max Meyer on, I thought the three midfielder players were playing extremely well. It was 0-0, it looked to be heading towards a very good point, perhaps even three good points because we were asking lots of questions to the Newcastle defence.

"There was nothing that Max could have done out there, the other three weren't doing. As a result when we did go down, we gave Max those ten minutes but I was really happy with the three central midfield players, It would have hard for Max to give a better performance than those three.

Yes we were the better team BUT honestly did the 3 midfielders create anything? Luke and mcarthur haven't got a clue how to thread passes

Should have won this, Newcastle were there for the taking. You know this when the oppositions goal keeper is given man of the match..

But they are workmanlike, are disciplined in the way Hodgson likes them to play in terms of shape and distances and in our circumstances he believes this is the best way to survive in the PL.

You can dress it up any way you want but in reality 1 point and 1 goal from three games against Watford , Brighton and Newcastle is not very good.
In fairness we were a little unlucky yesterday, but as the game wore on with us not taking our chances , there was a feeling that Newcastle may eventually get an opportunity which unfortunately they took.
Manquilo marked Zaha out of the game and contained him very easily in the restricted zone that Zaha seems to play in this season.
I wish Zaha had the freedom to move to the right or across the front line when he struggles against an opponent.
We are so rigid in how we play.

Didn’t deserve to lose but didn’t deserve to win either. A point from last two games is fair based on performances. Disappointing that we have got two points from Watford, Brighton and Newcastle and only scored one goal.

Also, f*** knows why PVA and Zaha we’re pushing each other and having a row after the goal

I thinkVan pinched his mince pie at half time
