I await the new proposal with interest.
Wider line ? But flagged offside for a nose being marginally over that wider line? And if that player had a shorter nose he would have been onside.

I think last weekend showed there is more to the refereeing problems then simply VAR and how rules should be interpreted. Simply said: the level of refereeing is atrocious, can anyone ever take David Coote serious again? Even Atkinson who I thought was decent in the past has lost his ways. And the smirking man without a heart Oliver was brave enough to go to the monitor at Selhurst but missing a tackle like that right in front of him is a bad call, then no way would he walk the walk in a high profile league game would he? A missed call that can happen yes, which does not go for the VAR decision.

As for Wenger's idea: it would change nothing at all, just the position where the lines are applied. Why not start with stopping that ridiculous 3D line drawing. Only done in the premier league.
