Hennessey can be a useful back up for our number one that is all, he does not instill complete confidence sadly and I feel ever since that Aston Villa 1-0 about four seasons ago when he allowed a 35 yard shot to deceive him was I feel when his confidence took a bashing and he has never fully recovered sadly, it certainly didn't help Pardew who already had diminished responsibility over defending.

A player in form that is settled, like the Guitita , if he played in his current form for the next 2 seasons , 15m wouldn’t be worth taking (not far off Bentekes wages for 24 months. )

We could just replace him with butland? We tried to replace flapper with Frances number 2 , how did that pan out ?

i like VG, he is a very good keeper but we are a business and the amount i talk about would make good business sense.

wayne could step in if needed for the rest of the season, he is a decent enough PL keeper.

mandadas main issue was his close range game, he was very big he couldnt get down quick enough enough.

Disagree . A settled keeper as good as him is worth a good few points.

Disagree that Wayne is a decent premier league goalkeeper.

Mandada was a higher rated keeper that Butland, why would Butland be able to step into the position at Palace with no problems?

Butland has had his problems this season.
I understand that with Tom Heaton out for the season, A.Villa are casting eyes in Butland's direction.

Guaita is excellent. Pay him well. It would not be easy to find a replacement of his quality. WH has had his moments, but alone with the good moments have been some very disheartening ones -- not many, mind you, but enough to make him far less valuable than Guaita.

By the way, on the Palace team site a month or two ago, there was a video focusing on goalkeeper training. (It may not have been archived. It's not the one about spike-ball.) Just watching 5 minutes of the video showed a marked difference between the two keepers in terms of reaction time and sure hands.

And I suggest, once again, that you stop twisting everything I say to suit your own agenda. I do not "idolise WH" so stop lying. If you are a proper Palace supporter try supporting ALL our players for a change.

Your undying love for "Flapper" is so obvious and I salute you for it PZ.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

Wayne is more of a physical presence but he seems very slow to get down when a shot is heading into the corner. He is a good shot stopper for anything above knee height though.

VG has earned us a lot of points this season so unless someone were to come in and offer something silly why would we sell? He's probably got at least another 2-3 seasons in him if he stays injury free. Also, as Willo said, he isn't that great with his feet so the Man City link seems tenuous, while West Ham now have Fabianski back and I can't see them splashing out on a backup goalkeeper.

35 yarder?
I remember it being a shot/header from close range following a corner.

That one v Derby was very difficult to save. The descriptions the fans give of the goal are incorrect. Hennessey is still not very good for the Prem though and Guaita is far better. My concern with Guaita was in the air and not being used to higher balls but it looks like he dealt with it early on.
