We are still right in the mix for a relegation scrap along with 12 other teams. This is going to be a strange season with decent sides going down.

Well not at the moment we're not.

I think all 3 kids who were on the bench v Norwich might start, Derby are not all that this season and will probably play a weakened side, so I still think we might pinch it 1-0, with Pierrick scoring

Of course, a lot depends on what sort of side Derby put out. They are mid table but neither safe from relegation nor without hope of a play off spot especially with Rooney joining. They may want to play their youngsters as well

with all due respect to derby county...it should make absolute feck all difference what team they put out.

We can win this game if we put out the right team. The issue is are members of the right team fit enough.I cannot see us risking anyone who is not 100 % fit particularly after the run of games we have had.
I am guessing that it will end up being a mix of young and old and if those players are up for it we should win 1-0 .If not Rooney will score the equaliser. COYP

I think it's essential we rest those that need it and that's probably 9 of the players who played Norwich.

I see it as a great opportunity to see what some of the untried lads can do.

Win or lose if one youngster shines it'll be a plus.

I think we will play only one or two from our regular first team, the rest will be U23s. I expect Derby will play mostly first team players so it should be a close match.

I normally want us to give the cups a good go but after heroically battling through the Christmas period with a patched up, makeshift team, recovery is all that matters.

I think we’ll put out a team of kids and the media will w*nk themselves to death over Rooney leading Derby to victory against premiership opposition. 0-2.

Based on Roy's comments I think most first team players who are fit and who are not carrying an injury will start, aside from Kelly and Riedewald, with Roy stating he won't risk the fullbacks. I imagine Hennessey will come in though and Zaha is also usually rested for cup games plus he was apparently carrying a slight injury. I expect to see 5/6 first-team regulars plus Wickham, Hennessey, Camarassa (if he's still here) and two/three U23s. I think it'll be another draw. 0-0.

Very difficult to guess. I suspect it will be a makeshift sort of team with some youngsters, perhaps Wickham getting a start along with Wayne and, dare I say it, Camarasa ( if he hasn't been sent back by then).

I usually like Palace to take the competition seriously but given our current injury woes I think we should be very careful about putting out current 1st teamers.

Roy mentioned after the Norwich game that he is excited to see what Connor could do on Sunday so he will get a game. As who else will feature is anybodies guess but I think all of the recent young subs will be involved, which I am quite looking forward to. Wayne in goal, Mccarthy, Kouyate possibly. Camarasa was supposedly ill again for Weds, make of that what you will. My prediction is a draw, 1-1, think there are replays ? but not what we really want to be honest if so. If Rooney plays might give them a lift but think they will rest him for the league.

Yep, rest the players for the up coming Arse bashing.

It's very likely with our injury list that we will be dragged back in to the relegation battle, the fact that we find it hard to score even against a team like Norwich who are very much in the battle is evidence that all is not going to plain sailing, by all means give the younger players a chance and see what happens as for a long cup run, not this year thank you lets save what we have left for the PL battle ahead!
