I will put my feelers out and see what I find one name I did hear mentioned was Bogle from Derby & also a Young kid from WBA but that one is unlikely all the time they could get promoted.

Will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Thanks, it's very appreciated.

It’s a done deal however this will not be the only striker signing so still more to come.

I have been told it’s a 6 month loan with the option to buy at £10m.

Benteke will be sold in the summer for around £15m so this would cover this transfer.

These would be great deals. If anyone is willing to pay 15 million for Benteke, best sell him now so that he doesn;t get injured or go another 6 months without a goals so that no one wants him after.

Sell him now and use those 15 million to at least buy a 5 million striker who is better than Benteke. And you still have 10 million to pay for Tosun in the summer if he confirms. Or someone else if he doesn't.

Batsman is also looking very close would be a loan then part of the Zaha deal in the summer.

So our forwards next season could look like this:

Tosun
Batshuayi
Ayew
One other

Are we writing Wickham off?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

We will certainly not be shopping at Harrods, perhaps not even John Lewis and supporters will be underwhelmed.
I shall leave the speculation to others in the Transfer Window.

Wilko you may be right hence why these 2 are loan signings but there will definitely be some signings this window.

Then summer will see more as Zaha will go and there will also be a potential takeover.

Are we considering Wickham more than a 5 minutes backup player after his injury? Anything different from what a U19 player is?

Frazier Campbell scored once in a while too....

I had a mate who was a sports journalist at the Sun. He had a knowledge of players like no one else I've ever met, it was a bit like combining Matteo and Willo together - but in this case I could be absolutely sure he wasn't just googling information.

When I asked him how much transfer news is fake, he did say that a lot of it is true. The journalist have enough contacts across scouts, coaches, players, agents, managers etc. to find out accurate information.

However, as this still wasn't enough to fill up the column inches, they did a massive speculative exercise where the looked at all the squads across british football, found the weakest positions, then targeted ways for them to be improved looking at what moves would be possible, then looking at ways of filling the places of players that they thought would be moving.

He told me that it wasnt too uncommon for the press to just make up a transfer, then a manager of the buying club would read about it and then realise that it was a pretty good shout.

1 journo broke the story in Turkey and the rest of turkish media are now quoting him in their reports....

Special 🔥🔥🔥 Cenk Tosun is close to transferring to Crystal Palace. 6-month rental... Club manager Roy Hodgson gave Cenk approval. A one-way ticket is ready for Everton.

a fan "made up" a "ITK agent" account in the last window (Chris Walton?) and went a long way to proving a lot of news is fake by making up false stories before finally revealing that he was fake as well!!!

That will please Everton supporters many of whom have said that the club should offer him out for nothing just to get rid of him.

Surely the really good news is that it is only the fifth day of the window and we may be close to a signing.

Much better than last day Christmas shopping in a crowded high street.

I hope we at least sign a right back good enough to walk straight into the team. Then put Mike Kelly in central defence. If we can get a mobile striker all well and good, but Tosun...not an other Kuqi, please!
