My thoughts FWIW:

We have 30 points. If we win tomorrow 33. As such Parish will think we will have to collapse for us to go down.
We have players returning from injury, so there will be completion for places once again.
Jairo has proved his worth and is almost like a new signing.
Once again Martin Kelly has demonstrated his flexibility and reliability across the back line (forgiven the odd mistake).
Our centre half pairing is defensively as good as anything in the division (bar Liverpool perhaps).

Conclusion if we win tomorrow I don't think we will see much activity.

I would like to see Wickham go on loan to a Championship club to play every week to regain match fitness and hopefully be a key player for us next season as with Tosun, Ayew and Benteke / Andros to return he really won't get much game time here.

My sentiments too.

Making permanent signings in this window usually results in overpaying too.

I think if KWP were available as a loan, we would take him. Can't see us buying him outright though and honestly hope we don't.

So with all this being said and kwp not being available for loan it seems then why don’t we use our other domestic loan to bring cover for the remainder of the season ?

I don't think Parish has much say anymore on if we do or don't sign players, it's all has to be signed off by Harris and Blitzer.

Unfortunately though, with us being more or less safe this year, we are missing our first real opportunity to kick on through investment into the playing squad.

For the first time since we have been in the league, we have got to the January window relatively safe in the knowledge it's highly unlikely we'll get relegated. This means, for once, we don't have to panic buy and pay over the odds for players to 'save the day'.

Given our relative security, we should be using Jan to invest in two or three younger players with real potential, knowing that we could give them game time during the rest of this season and live with whatever inevitable youthful errors they make on the pitch.

It's been a very quiet window this January all round but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be looking to bring in players that are calculated risks, rather than previous years of proven Prem players.

My thoughts entirely. There are sounds coming out of the club about the need to invest in younger talent which is backed up by most of the stronger rumours of players we're getting linked with. I'll be completely happy if all remaining signings are not to go straight into the first team (with the exception of a right back). I'm sure there is a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes and Parish said himself before if you stand still in this league then you're going backwards. So fingers crossed for a few youthful arrivals.

But this season we have had the perfect opportunity to kick on and possibly qualify for Europe. He should at least admit there is no money or the US owners no longer want to spend

I can’t really see us making a move for anyone this window unless it is a long term target who we’v been chasing or a loan signing. We definitely need a new Right back moving forward but we will be fine with Kelly and Ward till end of season.

Tbf I think that only now looks like a possibility (still a bit of a stretch) and that comes off the back of some player investments/summer window which came in for a bit of criticism.

It is frustrating to not know exactly why but at the same time if Parish was to make those reasons public I doubt it'd do much good in terms of relations with investors etc.

I feel it's a mixture of the US wanting out and also the huge investments in Sakho and Benteke neither fully working out for different reasons. The finances involved in those deals will continue to hamstring us for at least another season.

I wonder if we are in for Nathan Ferguson as he’s not in the West Brom squad for tonight’s game against Stoke...

Don't think he's been playing for a few games now due to his contract issues. Hopefully we're in for him.

Also Campbell of stoke was another one we're linked with as he's out of contract in the summer has had an eventful evening. Scored and then injured.
