Trouble with being in the know is if your information your given is wrong makes you look silly.
I had a bit of infor a few years ago from someone at west ham saying we were getting someone from them. I was informed it was freddie sears, who we had on loan before but it turned out to be James Tompkins.
When i posted it i didnt give a name so i didnt look like an arse if i was wrong.

I’ve quite literally never heard of this Tompkins who in the heck is he and can he play at fullback (tongue in cheek) take it easy on me 😉

He's not up to Freddie Sears level so I wouldn't worry to much.

There have been people who have posted stuff before it broke, or who were the ones who broke it (Clapham Grand springs to mind). To me, that would be someone in the know whether or not the player signs. I think most people realize things can change at the last minute, but players typically don’t sign and then unsign.

Others have claimed to be in the know and posted after the news was already in the press, or have had a record where the opposite of what they were claiming happens. Dazza may very well be in the know, but nothing he has said so far (I think) has not already been reported in the press before he claimed to break it.

If he wants to post good luck to him. But I don’t think it is unreasonable for people to question the veracity of what he is claiming, especially if they are reasonable in the manner in which they do so.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.
