With potentially 2 more new signings before the window closes, leaves a problem. One or maybe 2 will need to be left out of the 25 man squad and need to be sold or loaned out.
Favourites would be McCarhty from media reports and Meyer as he just hasn't fitted in.

Despite Hennesseys best efforts

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Totally agree he absolutely needs shipping out but in reality who would actually want him??

On those wages and at 30 Sakho (31 February) will probably see his contract out.

If a club does come in for him plenty of us will be made up.

That said, like Benteke he played a significant part in keeping us up in the season he came in so I wish them well whatever.

Yes BUT at present with Tomkins and Cahill nowhere near returning and Sakho actually training again this week, I'm not sure we'll see him go just yet. From having a surplus of CBs at the beginning of last season, we are struggling now. Who will want to buy Sakho until he shows that he's over his injury and has played a reasonable number of games? We may have to keep him till January when hopefully:
1. Both Tomkins and Cahill are back and fully fit
2. Sakho has shown he is also back, fit and can still play at the top level.

I honestly don't understand all the negativity given for Sakho. I think the guy is a quality centre back. Everyone makes mistakes and isn't perfect but he is a solid defender most of the time. I remember when the majority of you was putting him in their all time Palace 11 only a couple of seasons ago. How fast people can change their opinion on someone. I can't deny he is on a ridiculously high wage but he is a very good defender non the less.

I hear what you're saying and I don't think the majority of people's issue with him is his ability... It's clear he has real talent. For me it's the amount of times he's injured. He never seems to play more than 5 or 6 games without there being an injury of some sort... I just get the impression, maybe wrongly that he just doesn't seem interested.

Exactly not questioning his ability, but doesn't play enough to justify a place in the Squad.

He is so much better when he doesnt have to think about things. Just defend, intercept and clear the ball.

It when he tries to be clever and pass out from back things go wrong.

With our current defensive issues, he will be staying until at least Jan.

The problem is as people have said, he's got in a cycle of getting injured, being thrown into playing before getting matchfit, getting injured, ad infinitum. But at his best, he's a grade A defender.

Completely agree with this. The sudden want to discard Sakho is bizarre. I think he is an absolute animal of a defender and by and away the best centre half at the club. Makes a couple of errors for sure but I guess that's the nature of a ball playing CB. Accept he is injury prone, though.

We're the Arthur over ere!
