No I don’t mean spending big at all but we are not sending anything and it will come back and bite us on the ass, we have a need for players now not in a year or to, for me best way would have been buying both types of play over the last 2 - 3 widows and moving forward but looks like we don’t think like that sadly.

We got Ayew, Cahill, and McCarthy for around 7m last summer.

The summer before we got Kouyate, Guaita, and Meyer for 12m.

Unless, of course, you mean spending big. Thank god we’ve avoided that after bringing in Benteke and Sahko. The costs of those two have, in essence, hamstrung the club.

We are clearly looking at younger players give the ones for the future who have arrived, and the one whose medical is problematic. That is the way forward for a club like ours, and given some of the injury problems we have had it seems reasonable to be concerned over a failed medical.

Lampard has just announced Giroud is staying.
Probably putting two and two together and coming up with five, but I wonder if this means that Batshuayi will be available at least on loan?

I would argue that we have signed a non-league player in the hopes he becomes Ian Wright. More likely, he becomes Kwesi Appiah, Quade Taylor etc. and will have no sell on value and no first team appearances in 4 years time.
Not 100% sold on Scott Banks yet, being asked to make a huge step up in quality so yet to be seen where that goes.
The likes of Eze, Bowen, Ferguson are more established and more likely to be able to make the step up to Premier League in a shorter timeframe.

Scott Banks has gone on loan to Alloa, allegedly. If true why not loan him back to Dundee (or was it Dundee Utd)

Unlikely as he is a rather large central defender

I think you'll find that Scott Banks is an attacking midfielder

But we have. we brought in Ayew, Cahill, and McCarthy last summer. So far this window, we have brought in Tosun on loan with an option to buy, and a highly rated (according to the press) youngster from Scotland. Don't get me wrong, I think we need a couple of players and I would prefer the club to get younger players to bring the age of the squad down. That being said, this argument we are spending nothing is simply not true.

It is comparatively nothing though, given Cahill was free, Ayew was £2.5m and McCarthy apparently £3m, plus no one from the club has confirmed we have an option to buy on Tosun, have they? Half the Championship have spent more than us in the last two windows and factor in that we got £50m for AWB and I think fans have a right to be pi$$ed, especially those who go every week. I think the signings we've made in the main have done ok, but in terms of outfield players I wouldn't say anyone has excelled. I wish we could just take a chance on someone who might give us a lift, whomever that might be...and I don't believe Ibe to be that man.

Does Roy play young plays? Unless he has no other options sadly NO, the club is not moving forward at this moment in time and you keep going on about the passed which has no relevance to now or the future. We all want the best for the club but have different opinions on our this can be achieved.

We cant attract players because the problem is Roys tactics. Who wants to play in a team that hardly crosses the halfway line. I can only assume Tosun didn't have a telly back in Liverpool because he probably would not have came either

Yes, we failed to attract McCarthy, Cahill, Ayew, Kouyate, Meyer, Guaita, Tosun, etc.

None of them cost a fee or any wages either...
