That's a pity Willo, as you have received an unfair amount of battering when you've expressed your opinion. Holmesdale's loss, but I think you are wise to keep your council

It was not my opinions which attracted ordure and an incessant hail of bullets but the reality I posted based on what I was informed.
This is as much as I would like to post on this matter.

Please do not think we will be signing players like Watkins and Sarr, regardless of Zaha being sold. We are struggling to buy Eze, Fraser is a possibility depending on his options. Same old story of poster's on here getting fans hopes up.

I tend to agree. But let us dream. Plus, we did eventually sign Ferguson, although in true Palace fashion, nobody knows how much for.

I did read somewhere, that due to Ferguson being out of contract the fee payable was to be decided by a tribunal at a later date. No doubt Willo will be able to confirm!

Because he was out of contract and the fact he is a youngster it is compensation rather than a transfer fee that is payable. I fail to see how this can be a gigantic amount as it is based on the cost of training etc. I'm sure someone who knows more about this sort of thing can elaborate. I may be wrong but isn't this what happened to us with Bostock?

Isn’t it up to the individual if posters get their hopes up? Presumably we are all adults and can make our own minds up.
Keep posting Dazza

I am starting to see the same familiar pattern emerging from CPFC.
Lots of talk and rumours. Plenty of posturing. Trying to get players on the cheap for money that Clubs won't entertain which in due course demotivates the player we say we want and so he goes elsewhere.
The new season starts with much shrugging of shoulders and dramatic sighing about the state of the overpriced market and Roy is left to once again try and coax bored, ageing and tired players to over perform just one more time in his dull system.
I hope to be proved wrong and to have to eat my words!

I am not minded to comment about our transfer dealings.

What I will assert is that there is rampant speculation across the board which stimulates debate and interest.Apropos a "Familiar pattern", once again as in all 'Windows' there is a flurry of Free transfer signings by clubs lower in the pyramid whilst PL transfers are minimum.

Just consider how many transfer there have been outside the PL, compared to those by PL clubs - I believe across the PL, to-date clubs have only signed around 17 players which probably includes 4 who played for the clubs last season but have been signed on permanent deals or re-signed on Loan.

A.Villa, Burnley, Everton,Fulham,Leicester,Man Utd and Newcastle haven't signed a single player in the 'Window'.

I have maintained a silence on the 'Transfer' threads.

All I would like to assert is that there has been a plethora of fanciful speculation and rampant 'Linkage' which in reality bears no resemblance to the reality.
It has however stimulated debate on HOL!

I will pop by tomorrow to see if you are going to tell the world yet again that don't intend to comment on our transfer dealings

Oh to be an attention seeker
