What an awful display of refereeing last night in the Arsenal v Leeds FA Cup tie. Xhacka or however you spell his name went round kicking people at will and should have been sent off. Complete inconsistency from our supposed top referees which, he most certainly isn’t on this display. No doubt he will get a pat on the back from his masters at the FA! Well played though Leeds. Xhaka has a habit of making tackles he doesn't need to and generally gives away a number of free kicks. Referees are not averse to brandishing cards in his direction and he is certainly no stranger to cards. This season he has collected 6 yellows,last season 18, the season before 13 and the season before that one 14 yellows and 3 reds. I don't know how many of the cards are a result of multiple fouls as part of a so called totting-up process or persistent infringement. In terms of Anthony Taylor, thus far this season he has brandished more yellows than any other PL referee and last season was second to Mike Dean. Edited by Willo (07 Jan 2020 9.31am)
