According to Sky Sports News, Carlo Ancelotti has told him he can leave the club. I think he would be a cracking signing and would help us gievn the current lack of guile up front. I am unsure how much of the £40m they paid that Everton would want to recover though. Thoughts?

Sigurdsson is 31 this year.We already have an ageing squad which will need freshening up in the not too distant future.
Besides, he has not performed with much aplomb this season.

Over 30, clearly past his best. Unable to make the starting 11, should fit right in. Think the only problem might be that he performs the same role as Camarassa, so might struggle to make the bench. Look forward to seeing him start in next season's Carabao Cup tie.

On loan I'd take him in a heartbeat. His set-pieces would surely get us at least half a dozen goals on their own? Long-term though he is the wrong side of 30 and we'd probably have to pay at least 20m.

I would definately take him if the money was ok. Whilst now over 30, I think he could still be beneficial for a while.

See if they want Benteke in return. They need strikers.

He's poor WITHOUT set pieces. Pretty good WITH them.

Can only play one position well- attacking midfielder behind the striker. That's a position where you really need fresh legs to cover ground and press for yhe ball. He is 31 and doesn't do that very well anymore.

Would cost too much, so it's a NO from me. I'd MAYBE have him if he was free or up to 5 million (the most), but we're talking an all tigether different sum.

Sigurdson is NOT poor without set pieces, don't quote me stats, he is a class act - his form may have dipped but the whole Everton team have struggled this season, I understand we need more emphasis on youth but God do we need a decent attacking midfielder, and at 30 he is not that old and would be a massive upgrade on James McArthur, his ability to keep the high press may not be what it was but let's not try and get too technical from our amateur's view point - £10 mil for him would be amazing business depending on his salary, that would be the only real concern - atm we are not too good for Sigurdson, no way.

He’s a cracking player, has a bit of vision going forward, creative, good at set pieces and a good shot on him. Just the sort of player we’re crying out for. Doubt we’ll be in for him though which is ridiculous.

Probably just over a year ago, Pardew said he tried to sign him for every club he managed.

Exactly what we need in midfield to create opportunities for the forwards.
Bring him in with Batsuayi and Walker-Peters and we are sorted

Let's keep the ball this season!
