Early days, and I hope I’m wrong, but I do question whether Tosun will suit Hodgson’s system.
Tosun thrives on service into the box and this is one of the weakest aspects of our play under Hodgson.
Hodgson plays only one striker through the middle and arguably Ayew suits Hodgson’s system better as he does the work demanded by Hodgson and acts as first line of defence as well as supporting the midfield.
I can’t see Tosun filling that role effectively and Hodgson shows no sign of adapting how we play.
