He was Chelsea in the film. I bet you every penny that you have that he is Millwall and goes fairly regularly.

His dad played for Millwall.

He was Millwall in another film. I could’ve sworn it was him I saw in an old ICF clip. Looks like him. Apparently not. Anyway, how do they get into films and acting, even if typecast, apart from Bend it like Beckham. How does Guy Ritchie, hire Frank Harper?

Didn’t he run the Clifton Arms?

Yes, his mum or dad did. Probably 15 /20 years ago

Nick love the director used loads of people that he knew in his films from where he was from, ‘the Blue’ I think in Bermondsey.

Yes, I think so. Lots of ex-football players would buy a pub or nightclub when they were past playing.

Frank Harper’s first film was ‘Lock stock and two Smoking Barrels barrels’ by Madonna’s husband, Guy Ritchie. I then remember spotting him in that Bend it Like Beckham sh1t. Nick love films came later.

There’s other actors in that film genre that have gone onto different roles but most don’t. One of the best ones was in War Horse after being in The Business and Green Street which have been done to death now. I think I’d rather watch a Hugh Grant film.

Thought he was in goodbye Charlie bright , maybe he wasn’t.
Jamie Foreman was living on an estate (think it was the Ferria in kidbrooke) , someone started filming over there and he said he’d make sure none of the locals caused any trouble if they put him in it , apparently

Lock stock was before that ‘Goodbye Charlie Bright’ rubbish. Slightly interestingly Harper was in ‘In the name of the father’ which was a highly regarded film and probably received awards. 2 top notch lead actors, Daniel Day-Lewis and Pete Postlethwaite. He was a couple more films before that too. I reckon his acting career has dried as has the short shelf life of British London gangster and hooligan films, unless they change the formula or add in more layers rather than ‘mug mug mug’ all the time. Some of the script was funny in ‘St George’s Day’ though. Craig Fairbrass makes you laugh without any intention.

Definitely, liked the business , but them films are finished now. Tony Denham, Craig Fairbrass and Tamar Hassan all go to my gym. Although they have made a living out of the South London films, they’ve all moved out to Bickley/Chislehurst.
Also neither frank harper or Jamie Foreman are cockneys.
