I tell you what I find interesting: The two most expensive players we've ever signed are barely being mentioned, and are being left out of most of our XIs in favour of far less expensive alternatives.

Just shows you how easy it is to get your fingers burnt in the transfer market, and we are no different.

Genuinely surprised people even need to consider between Ward and Kelly at right back. Ward is competent and reliable where as Kelly is one of the worst right backs I have witnessed for Palace at this level...I accept he isn’t a right back at heart.

Also Cahill for me is the best defender at the club now closely followed by Tomkins with the rest miles off. When these two are fit we are a much better team defensively. Based on form I’d be tempted to play Kouyate out of position before Mamo. I think his time is up and he should be sold.

I don’t think you will see Palace start a game with Townsend and Ayew when Tosun and Zaha are also starting. For me it’s 3 out of the four because Roy will want 3 centre mids.
