Analysis is spot on.

EMILIANO BUENDÍA of Norwich City also highlighted. I’d like to see him at SP next season.

I’ve said all season that we haven’t actually played particularly well yet we sit mid table... it’s been a strange season... Everybody is inconsistent apart from the scousers who in my opinion had this wrapped up by the end of September and wouldn’t surprise me at all if they go unbeaten...

I don’t think it’s so much we are crap... We just play in an extremely negative way because that’s what Roy wants..

Guita has been amazing can’t argue with that.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

If yesterday is anything to go by, we are NOT a top 10 team (for sure). The whole side crumbled big time (Guaita no chance on any of the goals) - I not believe for a second we are out of the relegation fight.
Think 38-39 points are needed to stay up this season and after Soton walked all over us - where is the next point(s) coming from?
Even our solid partnership Tomkins/Cahill was out of touch in a (one more) negatively set up home game.

After Southampton were thrashed 9-0 by Leicester, their fans must of also wondered where the next points were coming. The season has up and downs for most teams, but fans don’t realise it.

It would appear that without VG we would be seriously in the sh*t:

you need to leave VG out of this and point out how Martin Kelly as porous as a 2 bob whore has played a part in costing us 12 points this season. yet all the time he is "already forgiven" if sakho were to be guilty of same, it would be lynchfest among some here.

I’m baffled by the decision to not start Ward

His fitness looks naturally high

Kelly just unfortunately offers zero attacking threat or desire to get up there and it’s painful at home, he’s a good centre back

Tiredness was showing badly all round mental and physical

Let's get this thread back on topic.

Allowing for the fact Allison has infrequently been seriously tested this season, VG is surely the EPL's best keeper.

He's done very well but I wouldn't go as far as that. EG for the Arsenal goal he just stayed on his line - he should have been straight out to Aubameyang to smother any shot.
