Desperately sad news being reported tonight that the son of former Palace player, Lee Sinnott (1991-93) has tragically died following 'an assault on a night out'. Jordan Sinnott, who played for Matlock Town FC, was found unconscious in Market Place, Retford, Nottinghamshire, in the early hours of today and later succumbed to his injuries.

Palace fans have a deeply admirable reputation for reaching out and supporting (former) players and fans for their support to the club. One therefore hopes that Club will reach out to Sinnott Family Household in their darkest hour and that Lee & Family get some comfort that our thoughts are FIRMLY with them.

This is the son of ex palace defender Lee Sinnott 90s palace central defender. Anyone remember him? Didn’t last too long with us, had a very square shaped head from what I remember

Very sad story

A desperately sad and shocking thing for anyone to have happen to a son or daughter, at any age. I can't begin to imagine the turmoil Lee and his family must be suffering, and can only hope they are able to come to terms with it in time with support from others. I'm sure the thoughts of us all are with them at this tragic time.

Seen a video of this fight on social media. The poor guy was getting kicked in the head whilst he was down. Disgusting behaviour.

No doubt its with the authorities and the culprit will be found.

I’ve seen the video to.. Really not nice viewing at all... I’ve been involved in a fair few tear ups over the years and have never understood this kicking people around the head and stamping on there head...

The Police are up to three arrests now so that’s a good thing.. The only good thing about the video (if there is such a thing) is that kicking an unconscious man around the head is clear intent regarding a murder conviction...

So sad... RIP young man.
