Mark Sampson would be a popular choice with a lot of HOL posters, Cheri Lunghi would be cheaper than Phil Neville, we won't get Coleman while Parrish is in charge, we've missed the boat with Potter and Pearson - the guy at Brentford seems to be doing great things but with their new ground and possible promotion would he consider us a step up or an unnecessary risk? I hope Roy stays on but gets kicked upstairs and we can have a youngish understudy as manager, that could be Doog but apparently Roy is one of many people who find him to be an arrogant pr*ck, Lamps Stevie G and Rooney seem to be showing their worth, may be another member of the golden generation? No obvious candidates really.

Could be an interesting press conference this afternoon .
There’s been a lot of speculation in the press this week about whether Hodgson is going or staying.
No doubt he’ll be pressed on this in the light of what happened over the transfer window.
He’ll probably play a straight bat and just say discussions are ‘ongoing,’

He seems to be very good at shutting down the press in a scary teacher kind of way. I imagine he'll just say No and perhaps expand slightly by saying some cliché about how all managers are under pressure to get results. I would prefer it if when he is asked he flipped the table over ripped off his shirt and offered the journalist outside for a bare-knuckle fist fight, using his opponents blood to scrawl TRANSFERS across his face.

Having listened to the press conference it sounds very much as if Hodgson will be staying as manager so perhaps this thread can close and be resumed next season!
Other point to emerge, though it’s probably self evident, is that his first choice players for the central midfield positions are Luka, Mcarthur, McCarthy and Kouyate.
Meyer are Riedewald are perceived as looking in from the outside.
May go some way to explaining why Camarasa never got a chance.

Every manager in the world is ex-Watford. The Watford manager has to check each Sunday night if he should turn up on Monday.

So anything we didn't know already?

If Roy goes I'd want Sean Dyche.

I remember there was a rumour that he was interested in coming to us before we got De Boer or Roy.

If rumours are true, RH is staying, Dyche would/will never come to us.

The thought of watching the same football at home fills me with dread. I love the club & always will, BUT, if this makes me a plastic/lesser fan, then, so what.

80% of 'fans' on here, wer'nt there(age etc) in the 60's/70's & 80's, I was. My point is, this football that's being served up is shyte/crap/bollox, why should I renew our ST's & fly over from Spain, like I have been doing?

I'll wait for the 'you aint a proper fan/plastic/armchair supporter from the generation of 'snowfakes' we've inherited.

I make NO apology for this, its how I honestly feel.
